Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Your guide will pick you up from Kampala or Entebbe early in the morning for a scenic journey to southwestern Uganda. Enjoy breathtaking views of the countryside, tea plantations, and the Virunga Volcanoes in the distance. Lunch will be en route in Mbarara before continuing to your lodge near Bwindi.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority. Your trek could last between 2–6 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family assigned to you. Once you find them, you will spend one magical hour observing their behavior, taking photos, and appreciating the beauty of these endangered primates. Return to your lodge to relax, or opt for an afternoon cultural tour of the Batwa community.
Day 3: Return to Kampala or Entebbe
After breakfast, begin your return journey with a lunch stop in Mbarara and a chance to stand at the Uganda Equator for memorable photos. Arrive in Kampala or Entebbe in the evening.
